Connie Edson

Connie Beroth Edson
Co-Founder & Board Member

Connie Edson is a co-founder of Degrees of Humanity & a longtime advocate for safer conditions in Florida correctional facilities. Her work has included advancing practical cooling improvements & helping support an earlier cooling implementation at Lowell Correctional Facility in Ocala for their dog program. Connie brings sustained issue knowledge, lived connection, & a commitment to turning advocacy into accountable, measurable action.

Co-Founder & Board Member

Laura Lockner is a co-founder & board member of Degrees of Humanity with more than a decade of nonprofit leadership experience. Her background includes executive leadership, fundraising, governance, strategic partnerships, communications, program implementation, & large-scale project management. Laura supports the organization’s structure, public engagement, donor stewardship, & long-term growth as Degrees of Humanity moves from advocacy to practical implementation.

Conner Edson

Conner Edson
Co-Founder & Board Member

Conner Edson is a co-founder & board member with experience in technical production, fabrication, logistics, installation planning, & complex project execution. His background includes coordinating teams, vendors, equipment, schedules, & operational requirements across demanding environments. Conner contributes practical implementation insight as Degrees of Humanity evaluates project feasibility, logistics, & measurable pathways from planning to completion.
